Lemuel Shattuck Hospital

Newly renovated hospital to serve MA’s most vulnerable residents

The Lemuel Shattuck Hospital is being constructed in an existing hospital building formerly part of the larger Boston Medical Center campus located in Boston’s South End. Relocating services from its current Mission Hill home, the new hospital will feature inpatient beds and associated support services and outpatient clinics to this facility. The scope of this project entails selective demolition of the existing Newton Pavilion interior, renovation of the existing façade, and installation of a completely new interior to accommodate the relocated beds and programs. LSH is also an academic teaching facility providing training opportunities for many Boston area colleges and universities (medicine, nursing, social work, etc.).
