Williams High School and made famous from the movie Remember the Titans, the new Minnie Howard Campus Extension was designed with a capacity of 1,600 students, serving 9th – 12th graders.
Project Overview
- Five-story, pinwheel design creates a heart to the school
- Targeting LEED Gold Certification, and designed to be Net-Zero Ready
- New athletic fields, including a practice field, multi-purpose field, tennis and pickleball courts, and basketball and futsal courts
- Twelve-lane competition swimming pool as well as an instructional pool
“This project isn’t just an example of space for kids. We started this project thinking about: what type of educational community do we want our high school to be? This is one small part of a bigger project that is ongoing. When this building opens, we will have a high school that is designed to meet the needs of each and every kid.”
