Gilbane Development Company, with its joint venture partner, developed Riverwalk at Crofton, a mixed-use, infill development of 22 acres in Crofton, Maryland. Crofton is a census-designated place and planned community in Anne Arundel County, located just west of the state capital Annapolis and immediately south of Fort Meade.
Project Overview

- Development included the approval and sale of 108 townhomes, 64 two-over-two multifamily units, and a 154-bed assisted-living facility
- Project involved significant interaction and approvals from County, State and Federal agencies to mitigate on-site 100-year floodplain, off-site traffic mitigation, and topography and environmental challenges resulting from the site’s previous use as a sand and gravel mining operation
