New facility consolidates three manufacturing buildings into one.
PDC Machines is the world’s leading manufacturer of diaphragm compressors and hydrogen refueling stations. Gilbane’s fit-out of their 150,000 SF manufacturing facility allowed PDC Machines to consolidate three buildings into one.
Project Overview
- Completed ahead of schedule due to lean techniques like pull plan scheduling
- Custom-made roof cart provided a safe space for eight people to tie off and transport materials, improving safety and efficiency
- The design includes a grand main lobby including a monumental stair, saturated with natural light and a mix of materials and textures that blend industrial elements with modernity
Separate web-based electrical metering devices were installed to continuously monitor electrical consumption across PDC’s facility. This data can be used by the client to reduce future energy consumption.
