Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc., Manufacturing and Bottling Facility

Delivering a state-of-the-art facility with future expansion capabilities

Gilbane provided design-build services to Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. for a greenfield manufacturing/bottling facility that produces beverage products. The project site encompassed raw material receiving and storage, beverage processing and packaging systems, blow molding operations, utilities systems, offices, employee amenities, a maintenance area, a security entrance, truck parking and an on-site waste water treatment facility. The building and infrastructure was planned to enable future expansion capabilities for the facility, allowing for an eventual total of five bottling lines on the site.

Project Overview

Initial build-out accommodates four bottling lines (either PET or Aseptic Carton)
The Krones High Speed Line can produce 400 64oz. bottles per minute at full capacity
The Krones Flex Line can bottle any size from a 32oz. to 128oz.
Extensive schedule and utility coordination with the two bottling companies so that the installation of the equipment was seamless
Long lead items purchased early in order to save time for the client
