Kerry Global Technology and Innovation Centre

Design-build project was delivered under budget and four months ahead of schedule

The new four-story addition for Kerry’s Global Technology and Innovation Centre was constructed under a design-build and encompasses open and enclosed plant areas at roof level. There are four blocks (A-D), all directly linked, internally and externally within a single building. Scope of work comprised of a mixture of offices, meeting rooms, customer areas, office and staff facility accommodation, delivery point and general service yard, research and development, and technology areas and storage facilities. The facility accommodates approximately 895 employees and achieved LEED® Silver certification.

Project Overview

  • Prefabrication of four-story (9 tons) pipe riser offsite was delivered and crane lifted into place
  • Fully insulated, tagged, and commissioned with a tolerance on each side of 15mm
  • Saved approximately 2,500 man hours in labor
  • Enhanced our Health and Safety program by eliminating the need for working at height or in confined spaces
  • Achieved LEED® Silver certification

Kerry Ireland won both Industrial and Commercial Awards at the Irish Construction Industry Awards as well as ENR 2016 Global Best Projects Awards- Manufacturing Global Best Project.
