Project Overview

  • 30,000 SF, 32-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) unit
  • Hospital remained operational and occupied
  • Renovation includes architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatics upgrades
  • Improving safety and efficiency during construction, the team prefabricated eight headwalls, each headwall serves two patient rooms simultaneously

“The absence of this type of care in our region has previously required patients to be transferred to facilities in Charlottesville, Richmond, or DC — far from home. With the addition of the CIRH at IMVH, all five Inova hospitals will be able to confidently transition patients to an Inova facility closer to home for this expert care.”
