Design-build project delivered under budget, four months ahead of schedule

This Design-Bid-Build project included the construction of a 280,000-SF modern, consolidated medical research laboratory consisting of wet labs, field labs, a vivarium under Good Laboratory Practices, offices, warehouses, and a central utility plant (CUP).

  • 280,000-SF Public Health Command (PHC) Lab Replacement at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
  • Includes anechoic chambers, an insectary chamber, and laser labs
  • New facility will help the Public Health Command manage emerging environment threats and health challenges for forces worldwide
  • 43,000-SF CUP designed to produce chilled water, hot water, and steam to support the building with N+1 redundancy and emergency power

This project provides a modern, consolidated 280,000-SF medical research laboratory building to support expanding requirements for the Public Health Command (PHC) Lab services and the resulting increased demands on PHC Lab facilities.
