Massive site development paves the way for new semiconductor manufacturing site
Gilbane is leading the diverse Ohio-based team, including partners McDaniel’s Construction Corp., Northstar Contracting Inc., and GTSA Construction Consulting, in managing the early excavation work for two new leading-edge chip factories in Ohio. Identifying significant project goals to maximize diverse participation in all project phases, Gilbane has launched a coordinated outreach program to achieve the program’s business and workforce goals.
Project Overview
- The project’s diversity goals are targeting 20% diverse business enterprises; 50% State of Ohio residency
- 10% participation for minority, female, and veteran workforce and 60% State of Ohio residency
- 7,000 construction jobs anticipated to be created over the course of the build
