Extensive infrastructure improvements on an active elementary school campus

Gilbane provided construction management services for the extensive, two-phased campus-wide renovations and improvements at Woodbridge Elementary School. The first phase consisted of an HVAC replacement of chillers, chilled water pumps, underground chilled water piping systems, sanitary lift station, and all associated electrical modifications for the overall campus. The second phase consisted of constructing a new mechanical room addition that serviced seven classroom pods along with classroom unit ventilators and fan coils that serviced 28 classrooms as well as seven teacher planning rooms.

Project Overview

  • Overall scope of work consisted of the removal/replacement of ACT and ceiling grid, demolition of above ceiling chilled water lines, new AHU unit in the new mechanical rooms that serviced the pods, VAVs, ductwork, replaced all light fixtures, ceiling tiles and grids
