Largest school district construction program in Ohio delivered with multiple M/WBEs
Gilbane teamed with multiple M/WBE firms for the largest school district construction program in the state of Ohio from 2001 through 2020. Gilbane acted as the CM Agent in Segments 1-5 and as the owner agent in Segments 6 and 7. In both the CMA and OA roles, Gilbane and the team provided preconstruction as well as construction services for both the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) and CMSD.

- 51 new or renovated buildings, various Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) LFI building renovations, and 38 building demolitions
- Program addressed buildings needing repair, demolition, or replacement
- Unprecedented local involvement in the CMSD program
- Partnered with community’s Bond Accountability Commission, an independent group to oversee the construction process on behalf of City of Cleveland citizens with 200+ public meetings held
