Integrated health campus transforms healthcare in Central New York
Gilbane provided construction management services for Mohawk Valley Health System for the consolidation of two main inpatient campuses, creating a 370 inpatient bed and the ability to handle 90,000 visits annually. Healthcare services include imaging/cardiology, surgical, intervention, endoscopy, birthing center including areas for early labor/triage to labor, delivery and recovery, a cesarean section surgical suite and postpartum suites.
Project Overview
- Use of prefabricated modular construction tools reduced fit-out time of patient rooms by 25%
- Workflow was improved, and time saved through use of QR codes that linked project data via Procore
- Four months of schedule savings due to use of RediCore Modular Systems
- Prefabricated modular bathrooms reduced onsite labor to 10 trade hours per unit
