Innovative approach keeps project on track

Provided design-build services to construct the new 50,000-GSF Border Patrol Station in Comstock, Texas awarded under the Fort Worth US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Design Build Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). The project achieved LEED Silver certification.

Project Overview

  • Design-build 48,000-SF Comstock Border Patrol Station that accommodates up to 250 agents
  • Primary building features detention facilities, offices, administrative spaces, conference rooms, secure weapons and ammunition storage vaults, training rooms, and indoor firing ranges, LAN rooms, storage, a helipad, short-stay dog kennels, and maintenance facilities
  • New station project includes a 3,500-SF checkpoint, an 11,800-SF vehicle maintenance facility, an 8,250-SF indoor firing range, and a vehicle wash station complete with fueling station
  • Designed and installed all utilities to be subsurface, including electrical, communications, and low voltage security
