Modernization program at King Abdulaziz Air Base provides state-of-the-art facilities for the Royal Saudi Air Force
Gilbane provided Design-Bid-Build construction of a Munitions Storage Area (MSA) in support of the F-15 Fleet Modernization Program. The MSA comprises 12 earth-covered magazines, a harpoon missile maintenance facility, a bomb line holding facility, inert warehouse, fuse and detonator storage facility, assembly load/pre-load facility, and a domestic water utility and fire protection system pump building.
Project Overview
- Design, construction, and modification of facilities, structures, and infrastructure necessary to support the modernization of the F-15SA aircraft
- Demolition of existing facilities and renovation of seven existing facilities and construction of six new facilities
- Supports the RSAF F-15 Fleet Modernization Program providing storage and maintenance facilities to F-15SA maintenance staff and aircraft auxiliary systems
- All new infrastructure for roads, parking, aircraft apron, fire water systems, potable water, sewer collection, and low voltage distribution
