A collaborative, team approach leads to early completion

This new CVS Retail Store in Stateline, Nevada resides in an existing building in the South Lake Tahoe Area formerly known as Bill’s Casino Lake Tahoe right along Highway 50.  The retail store consists of 9,500-SF of retail space; and 1,000-SF of receiving area.  All site utilities and building exterior skin improvements were completed under a separate contract between Gilbane Building Company and the Landlord (SS Management LLC).

Project Overview

  • The renovation included structural plate steel retrofits downstairs in the basement, as well as layers of high-density foam under a new concrete floor slab in half of the retail space to level the entire sales floor
  • The 11,000-SF building was divided into 8 different tenant spaces, with CVS being the first tenant
  • CVS requested an accelerated schedule after the program, with Gilbane delivering 2 weeks ahead of schedule
