Award-winning highly sustainable courthouse provides flexibility and advanced security technologies
The Maricopa County South Court Tower project houses 32 courtrooms and includes central juror assembly space, office and clerk space, collegian judicial chambers, central in-custody holding, and vehicular sally port for in-custody transfers. The facility features secure underground parking and a tunnel that connects the new south tower to the central court tower. Flexible juror seating and courtrooms, coupled with state-of-the-art technology including public docket displays, juror check-in stations, and juror notifications systems offer a superior user experience.
Project Overview
- The project is LEED Gold certified
- Gilbane’s Transition Planning and Management (TPM) group handled the relocation of 22 judges and staff to their new chambers
- The scope included extensive security features such as biometric readers for iris and fingerprint scanning.
