Historic stadium achieves full ADA compliance
Gilbane provided construction management services for the renovation of the historic, outdoor athletic Mackay Stadium at the University of Nevada, Reno, including bringing the stadium into full ADA compliance.

- Gilbane’s scope of work included building new bleacher platforms, stairs, and handrails to make more sections of the stadium accessible to fans with disabilities
“I myself sat in a wheelchair and toured the stadium to check ramps for accessibility and to review lines of sight, amongst other things. By doing this, I noticed some problem areas that were not addressed in the original plans and provided the owner with ideas for improvement.”
