New multi-sport facility for men and women’s athletics
Construction of a new multi-sport arena within OSU’s Athletics District. This facility seats approximately 3,700 guests and includes concessions, restrooms, and other spectator amenities, as well as offices, storage, and maintenance support areas. The new facility serves as the home for the men’s and women’s varsity volleyball, men’s and women’s gymnastics, fencing, and wrestling teams.
Project Overview
- The arena seats approximately 3,700 patrons and features concessions, restrooms, and various spectator amenities, as well as various athletic department offices, training rooms, and treatment rooms
- The facility allows for flexibility in the use of space by accommodating multiple configurations specifically designed for each event
- There are two facilities – the Covelli Center and the Jennings Wrestling Facility
- Built in the center of campus, this project required extensive coordination around the academic and athletics schedule
This state-of-the-art sporting arena benefits student athletes of many sports by creating a flexible space to be used during competition.
