New Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility (TEMF) at Sagami Depot
Expedited shipping of pre-engineered buildings ensures new military complex in Japan is delivered months ahead of schedule
Gilbane constructed a new $28 million, 256,000-SF TEMF complex that includes a maintenance facility, vehicle wash facility, and an organizational storage building. Supporting facilities include a heavy vehicle parking area, weapons storage facility, cargo unloading area, petroleum storage and hazardous waste storage. Gilbane provided site development, facility construction, utilities and connections, lighting, paving, parking, storm drainage, underground detention vaults, an oil/water separator, a diesel fire pump and landscaping.

- Provided testing and commissioning teams, and LEED Engineer
- Engaged all vendors in fast-tracked designs and submittals to gain an early start on fabrication
Gilbane leveraged our experience shipping globally, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements, to ensure that all shipments arrived on or ahead of schedule, facilitating the delivery of pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs) several months ahead of schedule.
