Alastair Jenkin
Senior Vice President, Multifamily
Alastair Jenkin is a Senior Vice President at Gilbane Development Company, where he leads development teams in various markets across the United States and is responsible for the growth and development of the company’s national multifamily platform; he also is a member of the company’s executive committee. Alastair has nearly twenty years of experience in building design, engineering, land development, and real estate development, including market rate and workforce housing. He applies proven strategies to ensure financial strength, operating efficiencies, and overall performance across the company’s national multifamily market rate platform.
Prior to joining Gilbane Development Company in 2022, Alastair was responsible for all market rate and workforce housing originations for a nationally recognized development company in Texas, where he managed all development staff in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Houston, with $742 million in originations since 2017. Alastair also has extensive experience creating public-private partnerships (P3) and worked directly with housing authorities and city councils in Texas to develop more than 1,800 workforce housing units. Alastair holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
