Michael C. Brown
Regional President
Michael oversees all business and sales strategies in the Midwest and Texas divisions. He is recognized throughout the construction industry for his leadership and ability to develop high-performing teams. With nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Brown began his career as a project superintendent and previously spent close to two decades with Gilbane.
Michael has served as a successful partner to Fortune 500 companies and some of the nation’s top universities, hospitals, and cultural institutions to create places and spaces that enhance our communities. Over his career, he has delivered more than $3 billion worth of construction across the Midwest, West, and Southeast.
Brown earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan School of Engineering and completed advanced leadership programs at the Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland, the Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and FMI in San Diego, California.
In addition to his leadership in the construction industry, Michael has been an active member of the community serving in industry and civic roles including past board memberships on the Florida Chamber of Commerce, Tampa Museum of Art, and Student Aces. He was recently recognized as one of Florida 500’s Most Influential Business Leaders and by Savoy as one of the Power 300 Most Influential Black Executives in the USA.
