Steven T. Halverson

Steven T. Halverson is a retired chairman and chief executive officer of The Haskell Company, one of the nation’s largest integrated design-build organizations, with operations throughout the United States, Latin America and headquarters in
Jacksonville, FL. During his tenure as CEO, Haskell became a billion-dollar enterprise, made several acquisitions, established a technology and innovation business, and expanded its operations globally in Latin America and Asia.
Mr. Halverson started his career as general counsel with M.A. Mortenson, the international construction, preconstruction, and real estate firm. His work included large healthcare, sports facilities, public facilities, and oversight of several joint ventures.

Mr. Halverson received a Bachelor of Art from St. John’s University and earned his Juris Doctorate of Law from American University. He was chair of the Construction Industry Roundtable, Design Build Institute of America, and the National Center for Construction Education and Research. He was elected to the National Academy of Construction. He also served as chair of the Florida Council of 100, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, and the Jacksonville Civic Council. In 2008, the Florida Council on Economic Education elected him to the First Coast Business Hall of Fame.

Mr. Halverson is a recipient of the University of North Florida Presidential Medallion, the Governor’s Business Leader of the Year Award, the OneJax Humanitarian Award, the Jacksonville Business Journal Multicultural Lifetime Achievement Award, and the JDRF Living and Giving Award. Florida Trend magazine named Mr. Halverson one of Florida’s most influential business leaders.

Mr. Halverson is a corporate director for CSX Corporation, GuideWell Mutual Holding Company, InProduction, Inc., and Acuren.
