New state-of-the-art acute care hospital campus delivers “a higher level of care”
Gilbane constructed a new 365,000-SF hospital situated on a 65-acre campus in Venice, Florida. The scope of work for this acute care hospital entailed 110-private patient rooms, including 10-obstetric (LDRP) suites, 80-adult medical/surgical beds, and eight OR suites. The new hospital facility also includes 28-treatment rooms in the Emergency Care Center.
Project Overview
- The new hospital facility also includes a 400-car parking deck, surface parking for approximately 1,050-vehicles, a 25,000-SF energy plant, and a 60,000-SF medical office building
- The site work infrastructure included public utilities, communications, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural work for the development of the new hospital facility.
- The design-assist process, which led to the prefabrication of the MEP/FP, curtainwall, and architectural precast, provided schedule and cost savings.
