Gilbane provided preconstruction and construction services for the Sarasota Memorial – Venice Campus Bed Tower Expansion, a five-story, 102-bed facility that nearly doubled the hospital’s capacity. The 164,000 SF project included private patient rooms, specialized surgical and cardiac units, expanded clinical and support spaces, and a 28,000 SF Central Energy Plant upgrade. Key services included cost modeling, constructability reviews, and phasing strategies, with Gilbane presenting detailed schematic results to hospital leadership. The scope also added 32 emergency treatment rooms, two operating rooms, radiology spaces, and boosted the facility’s energy infrastructure by 50%.
