Gilbane TPM served as the activation partner for the brand new, world-class Verstandig Pavilion
Gilbane TPM provided comprehensive transition plan development, operational readiness planning, end-user orientation and training event planning, and facility readiness planning with onsite activation/occupancy management for MedStar Health Georgetown University Hospital’s (MGUH) Verstandig Pavilion. The six-story building houses critical care operations for MGUH and features an expanded ED, 31 ORs, 48 PACU bays, 56 surgery prep and discharge bays, and 156 inpatient beds.
Project Overview
- Developed a macro-level activation timeline to assist MGUH and other key stakeholders in understanding and allocating the resources needed to prepare the Pavilion for multiple turnover phases
- Assisted in coordinating the multiple teams needed to plan and execute the magnet ramp-up and all prerequisites required prior to execution, including suite security and testing of the interlocking system
- Facilitated information sharing for iMRI issue resolution between the vendor, MGUH end users, architect, and construction management team
- Assisted in facilitating meetings between the iMRI vendor and MGUH leadership, physicians, and end-users to execute a well-developed plan for implementation
- Guided the onsite team with the development of a detailed schedule for the training, timed to coincide with occupancy and activation of the space
