Hasbro Fit-Out
National toy company’s workplace gets “transformative” upgrade
Located in Hasbro’s landmark building in downtown Providence, this 135,000 SF fit-out project involved a six-floor renovation, including the demolition of interior space on all floors, with the exception of the building core, consisting of four elevators, two stair towers, HVAC shafts and risers, and electrical equipment rooms. The elevator cars were also refitted with new interior finishes. This project targeted LEED Silver certification but achieved LEED Gold ID+C certification.
Project Overview
- The scope additionally included four large assembly areas segregated by skyfold partitions allowing the individual areas to become one large communal space, equipped with an A/V system designed to function in both arrangements
- The first level also included a new kitchen, servery and dining areas, a fitness area and locker rooms, and a new loading dock structure at the rear of the building
- The second floor, consisting of a production area and office space, has refinished exposed concrete floors and drywall partitions
- The open plan office areas include system furniture, with carpeted floors and a combination of open plenums with acoustic material applied directly to the deck above, and acoustic ceiling clouds centered above office clusters
- Floors three through six include clusters of open offices, perimeter offices, and several conference rooms with audio and/or video conference capability
