Entertainment & Sports Arena
Home of the Washington Mystics and practice facility for the Washington Wizards
Gilbane and joint venture partner Smoot Construction served as construction manager for the new 125,000-SF Entertainment and Sports Arena, which transformed the St. Elizabeth’s campus into a thriving mixed-use community. The new building includes a practice facility for the NBA’s Washington Wizards and a 4,200-seat arena that serves as the home court for the WNBA’s Washington Mystics. It is a premier entertainment space for the area, with the capacity to host cultural and entertainment programming and a variety of other large capacity events.
