Gilbane successfully delivered a 25,000 SF, two-story medical office building for Bon Secours in Richmond, VA, providing essential services such as outpatient care, mental health counseling, pastoral care, and hospice support. The team navigated multiple supply chain challenges, successfully breaking ground and completing the core, shell, and tenant improvements within a 10-month schedule.
Project Overview
- Gilbane reduced the project schedule through multiple GMPs, roof assembly modifications, temporary conditioning/water conveyance, and STO panels for the building skin
- Project components included a stormwater detention system, extensive parking, speed tables, strip footers with a slab on metal deck, and an elevator
- STO panels expedited the schedule and improved quality, with 44 panels erected over seven nights, saving an estimated two months on the overall project schedule.
