New affordable apartment community in Buzzard Point
Following the first phase at 1550 First Street (MDL Flats), 1530 First Street is the second affordable housing complex built in Buzzard Point. Developed by TM Associates, both buildings were designed with units ranging from studios to four-bedroom apartments. The project also included a leasing office, parking garage with EV stations, amenity room, courtyard, and 3,804 SF of ground-floor commercial space for shops and restaurants.

- Layout options include one, two, three and four-bedrooms
- Located in Buzzard Point, within walking distance to Audi Field, nationals park and two metro stations
- Features ground-floor retail
Due to its close proximity to the 1550 building, the project team faced many challenges during excavation. To avoid disruption to the adjoining building, the team installed Sencieve sensors to detect vibrations and displacement
