Promoting Neighborhood Resources and Safety for Local Police Station
This neighborhood police station, located at 99th Avenue and Buckeye Road, is approximately 25,000 square feet and provides valuable resources to the local communities of Tucson with a special focus on connecting neighbors with resources geared toward awareness and safety. With offices for command, administrative staff and motoring officers; secured parking for 300 vehicles; holding cells for eight adults and two juveniles; interview & monitoring rooms and public lobby spaces, meeting rooms for community events, ADA rest rooms, a walk-up counter and a 30-person briefing room.
Fully operational and housing more than 200 police officers, the Estrella Mountain Precinct is responsible for approximately 69 square miles of the city of Phoenix. Various types of officials ready to assist the community include: Community Action Officers, Neighborhood Enforcement Teams, School Resource Officers, Field Training Officers, Property Crimes Detectives, Family Investigation Detectives, Auto Theft Detectives, and 151 first responders. The precinct detectives are assigned specifically to this area to assist patrol in follow-up and arrest for crimes such as auto theft and burglary.
This facility benefits local communities through faster response times as well as designated meeting areas for neighborhood watch meetings and is a fundamental resource for the City of Phoenix.
