Gilbane Building Company Receives Top Projects of 2014 Awards
Milwaukee, WI – March 2015 – The Milwaukee office of Gilbane Building Company is the proud builder of three projects chosen to receive Top Projects of 2014 awards from The Daily Reporter.
The award-winning projects are all new construction and include the Schreiber Foods Home Office and Global Technology Center in Green Bay, WI; the hotel at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee, WI; and the Mitchell Park Horticulture Conservatory Greenhouses also in Milwaukee. Gilbane provided construction management services on the Schreiber Foods and Potawatomi projects and program management services on the Mitchell Park greenhouse facilities.
“We are excited and humbled to be recognized by The Daily Reporter Top Projects award panel,” said Gilbane Senior Vice President, Adam Jelen. “These were challenging projects and I couldn’t be happier for our staff, our design partners and our clients,” Jelen added.
· Schreiber Foods’ new 260,000 SF corporate headquarter building consists of office space; kitchen, servery and multiple test kitchens; laboratories; data center; and pilot plant for evaluating new dairy processes on a reduced scale.
· The Potawatomi Hotel & Casino hotel stands 19 stories and was built adjacent to the casino, which remained open throughout the build.
· The new greenhouse facilities built near the Mitchell Park Domes replaced the original Milwaukee County greenhouse land and buildings.
