Gilbane Building Company Names Tom Peacock Vice President
Sarasota, FL – March 2015 – Gilbane Building Company, a leader in construction services, announced that Tom Peacock, Operations Manager for South Florida, has been named Vice President.
Peacock is known for his high standards in operations, hard work, and leadership for the entire operations team constantly improving Gilbane’s business practices and processes. As a 30-plus year veteran of the industry, he has been successfully overseeing operations for the South Florida region.
“Tom is hard-working and tireless in his efforts to make our business unit successful,” says Tim Hensey, executive vice president at Gilbane. “His loyalty, focus, integrity and approachable management style are greatly admired and appreciated by all.”
Peacock has been involved in overseeing key projects with a focus in the education market including Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte and Pinellas Counties. Some notable projects include Braden River High School, Venice High School, River View and North Port High School.
As a long-term resident of Manatee Sarasota area, Peacock has been active in the community serving as a board member for the Manatee Education Foundation, formerly served as a board member for the Sarasota Manatee Business Coalition, and is active with the Woodland Community Church. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from the University of Gainesville.
