FIS, a Fortune 500 company currently based in Jacksonville, is committed to sourcing this impressive opportunity to reinvest back into the local community

Jacksonville, FL – November 12, 2020 – Construction is underway on a new 374,000 square foot FIS office building located in Jacksonville, Florida. This sizeable project reconfiguring the iconic skyline received incentive funding through the City of Jacksonville Downtown Investment Authority (DIA) that includes a $6 million goal with Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business (JSEB) participation. Partnering with the City of Jacksonville, Gilbane, Hines and FIS conducted several virtual outreach events to generate interest from JSEB firms conducting an informational forum of the procurement process. This resulted in direct and sub-tier contract opportunities for various scopes of work included in this landmark project. Gilbane Building Company has currently contracted and surpassed the $6 million target and could potentially reach up to 150% of the set goal in completing the buyout of trade contractor packages.

“The Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business (JSEB) office would like to thank Gilbane Building Company for their demonstrated commitment to the JSEB program and our mission of maximizing opportunities for our registered firms. Gilbane hosted proactive outreach events for the FIS project and continues to provide support to our JSEB firms,” said Nikki Kimbleton, Director of Public Affairs and Communications, City of Jacksonville.
