Gilbane Building Company Celebrates Ribbon-Cutting for LeeTran Headquarters
Fort Myers, FL – March 2015 – Representatives from Lee County, FDOT, City of Fort Myers and other local officials were on hand for the dedication and ribbon cutting held for the new LeeTran Headquarters, Operations and Maintenance Facility in Fort Myers. Gilbane Building Company, a leader in construction services, was the construction manager for the project.
Built on a 23-acre campus and with more than 93,000 square feet, the new facility was designed to house all of its employees in one location with enough parking to accommodate long-term growth as projected in its long-range transportation plan.
The administrative offices building consists of office and clerical staff, customer service, public meeting space, IT and training functions. The operations building houses supervisory staff, dispatch, driver check-in and prep area, vehicle inspection and release for both fixed route and para-transit services. The maintenance building is equipped with the newest technology for fleet maintenance which includes 15 repair bays bays with lifts for bus repairs.
