Gilbane Building Company Announces Appointment of Barbara Colman
30+-year construction industry expert joins Gilbane as Project Manager in Atlanta
Atlanta, GA – February, 2016 – Gilbane Building Company recently hired Barbara Colman as Project Manager. She will be based out of the Atlanta, Georgia office and will work within the Higher Ed and K-12 markets. Colman, who has extensive project management credentials, brings more than 30 years of construction industry experience managing large capital improvement programs in nine school districts in Georgia and South Carolina, with projects and programs ranging from $100,000 to $1.2 Billion.

In her new role, Colman will be responsible for a broad range of construction management services for Gilbane’s clients. She will focus on the GA Board of Regents P3 Resident Housing for seven campuses throughout the state where Gilbane is playing a large role in the projects in a management capacity. Colman formerly worked with Parsons Corporation and Beers construction, now Skanska, prior to joining Gilbane.
Colman holds a Construction Management degree from Clemson University and currently serves on the Board of Directors for CEFPI-GA.
