5th-Generation Gilbane Family Member, Dan Gilbane, Appointed to New Role to Lead National Client-Driven Strategic Growth Opportunities

 width=PROVIDENCE, RI – June 27, 2019 – As part of its global growth strategy and vision, Gilbane Building Company is pleased to announce that Dan Gilbane has been appointed to senior vice president, director of strategic initiatives. This new role combines single-point executive responsibility for several growing entities including GRS, a disaster reconstruction services firm comprised of three companies; G.O. Construction Services, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary that provides jobsite safety, general labor, carpentry and final cleaning services; Gilbane’s National Clients team; and the firm’s Centers of Excellence focused on adding value for clients throughout the project lifecycle in multiple markets. In addition to these client-driven focus areas, Dan will have direct involvement with Gilbane’s acquisition strategy.

As a fifth-generation Gilbane family member, Dan joined the company in 2005. He served in several management roles prior to becoming the senior vice president of the Southwest division where he was responsible for sales, marketing, operations and strategy with a focus on providing quality services and workmanship that promotes strong client relationships, customer satisfaction, repeat clients and new business growth.

An active member of the Houston community, Dan serves on the boards of the YES Prep Public Schools, the Greater Houston Partnership, Houston Methodist’s President’s Leadership Council  and the Associated General Contractors.  He is active in the real estate community and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. He is serving as the 2019 Campaign Chair for the United Way of Greater Houston and is the executive sponsor for Gilbane’s Hispanic employee resource group.

Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Brown University and a MBA from Harvard Business School. He resides with his wife, Eleanor, and three children in Houston, Texas.
