The Daily Reporter Selects Gilbane Building Company as 2014 Wisconsin Builder of the Year
Milwaukee, WI – September 2014 – The downtown Milwaukee office of Gilbane Building Company was recently honored by The Daily Reporter with the 2014 Newsmakers of the Year Builder of the Year award. It is the second time Gilbane has been chosen for the award, having also won in 2007.
During the course of the past year, Gilbane has assembled an impressive portfolio of work in Wisconsin with several signature projects either finishing or breaking ground. Gilbane has been selected to work on the last two high-rise projects awarded in downtown Milwaukee. Those projects – the Potawatomi Hotel and Northwestern Mutual’s Tower and Commons – are part of a current roster that also includes Schreiber Foods Home Office and Global Technology Center in Green Bay; ProHealth Care’s Ambulatory and Cancer Center in Waukesha; multiple projects at Carroll University in Waukesha, which includes a new science building, synthetic turf fields and renovations to athletic facilities; and program construction management services for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation on multiple major projects in the Milwaukee area.
“It is truly an exciting time at Gilbane. We have been fortunate to help build high-profile projects that enrich the lives of the people in the Wisconsin communities we build,” said Senior Vice President, Adam Jelen. “Winning this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and our business partners. We are both humbled and honored that The Daily Reporter chose Gilbane as Builder of the Year.”
