Construction and Planning Leader Peter Zuk, Buffalo Builder Kirk Fitscher, and Construction Management Veteran Larry Bacher Grow Gilbane’s Depth of Expertise in Buffalo

Buffalo, New York – December 2, 2020— Gilbane Building Company today announced that three seasoned construction industry leaders Peter Zuk, Kirk Fitscher, and Larry Bacher joined its growing Western New York team.

Peter Zuk has successfully led the capital delivery programs of both public and private organizations and has had stewardship of several of the world’s most complex and technically challenging infrastructure projects. Prior to joining Gilbane, Peter served as Chief Capital Officer for Metrolinx in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Mr. Zuk has proven leadership in program management with a focus on delivering efficiency and coordinating large scale programs in housing, infrastructure, and transportation development.

Kirk Fitscher brings over 35 years of comprehensive construction industry experience having built projects in a wide array of sectors including hotels, retail, entertainment, education, industrial and healthcare. Kirk has worked extensively in the greater Buffalo area in a leadership capacity in the roles of General Contractor, Construction Manager and Developer, bringing his results-driven and client-centric focus to the success of his projects. Kirk is an active community member having assisted with projects for the SCPA of Erie County and Habitat for Humanity. He is currently a board member for the Construction Exchange of Western New York.

Larry Bacher is a 43-year seasoned veteran of Gilbane with industry experience throughout New York State. He is an experienced leader with design-build expertise and brings precision and dedication to excellence on every project. Larry’s current and recent projects with Gilbane in Upstate New York include the Albright-Knox Art Gallery campus renovation, the new regional medical center for Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, and the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview in Solvay.
