The MIHS Maryvale hospital just opened the newly remodeled Emergency Department and Behavioral Health Unit last night after more than a year of being closed. The new facility will provide access to care for those in the neighborhood who desperately need it. Once a community with huge crime rates, Maryvale is slowly turning around and the opening of this hospital will have a big impact on the area. The Phoenix, AZ Gilbane team along with subs and design partners, have been working around the clock to make this happen. Says Stephen Blaylock, MIHS Project Executive for the IPMO, of the renovation, “We did in 9 months what is normally done in 18 months, so it’s been very quick.”  Read more here.   MIHS Chief Operating Officer and EVP Kris Gaw states, “Words cannot describe my heartfelt appreciation to you and your teams for getting us to this point. What a journey.”
