A continuous rotation of concrete trucks poured the 12-foot thick mat foundation at Texas Tower, an office tower being developed by Houston-based Hines and its investment partner Ivanhoé Cambridge in downtown Houston.

The pour occurred three weeks ahead of schedule, according to Hines, which will have its global headquarters in the building upon completion in late 2021. The 47-story tower, going up at 845 Texas Ave. between Milam and Travis on the former site of the Houston Chronicle newspaper, will rise more than 700 feet. Read more here.
