As a licensed Japanese contractor, Gilbane is well-versed in navigating Japan’s unique cultural, regulatory, and geographical landscape. Since 2003, we have been dedicated to serving Okinawa, completing nearly 50 projects at Kadena Air Base (AB), the largest U.S. Air Force Base in east Asia.

Local Presence, Lasting Impact
As part of Gilbane’s Community Impact Challenge, our Federal Division Japan offices and project sites embarked on an inspiring food drive. The Okinawa office, Tokyo office, and five local project sites joined forces to collect donations for the local food bank, Second Harvest. The teams collected an impressive variety of food items, including hundreds of pounds of rice, which had been in short supply due to recent storms. This remarkable effort highlights the power of community and the impact of collective action throughout the world. When people come together for a good cause, everyone benefits.
