Develop 18.5-acre property on the first metro stop in Maryland for northbound trains leaving DC. The property features quick access to expressway system, bus and bike trail network and is adjacent to Greenbelt Park (1,100 acres) as well as Anacostia River Trail System providing 20 miles of walking and bike trails along the riverfront.
The Riverfront at West Hyattsville Metro will contribute to the area’s economic development efforts by providing much-needed tax revenue and additional housing in a true transit oriented development.
The new community is expected to feature 183 townhomes and 300 apartment homes. The project is also expected to include 9,000 square feet of ground floor retail and the creation of a 4.5 acre community park recreation area, including an amphitheater and bike/pedestrian loop connecting to the NW Branch Trail system and adjacent public recreation facilities.
Townhouse sales are anticipated to begin by year end 2017.
