Since two forward thinking, entrepreneurial brothers founded a small carpentry business in 1870, Gilbane has come a long way. We have remained family owned for 6 generations, and no matter how much we have grown, our commitment to creating a family culture at work has never wavered. From California to Providence to Japan, one thing is constant: when you work at Gilbane you become part of our family, and everything we do stems from that mindset.

We’re known for the structures we build, but we strive every day to show our employees we are building more than buildings. We are building careers, building friendships, and building relationships with our communities that last a lifetime.

It’s important to me that I am always present, focused, and safe because my husband, my parents, and my brother rely on me and expect me to come home every day. Without my help, it would have been very difficult for my parents to finally purchase their first home this year since English is not their first language; and it would be close to impossible for my brother to continue growing as he is autistic and I’m his biggest supporter in making sure he can work, get benefits, and simply be cared for.
