2020 was a year unlike any other in the 150-year history of our company. Faced with a worldwide pandemic that shut down parts of the economy, our teams showed they are resilient and truly remarkable. In the 2020 Gilbane Building Company Annual Report, we showcase impactful projects, celebrate innovation, and profile employees who are building a more inclusive culture through allyship not only at Gilbane, but also across the construction industry.
Despite facing unprecedented pandemic-related challenges over the past year, we are pleased to report we achieved an all-time high in revenue while also elevating our safety efforts. We will also remember 2020 as a year of reckoning on the pressing issue of social justice. Our leaders and employees came together in conversation to become more knowledgeable around race and racism. When we reflect on the year’s accomplishments and successes, it’s clear that in the face of adversity, we really are stronger together. We came together as a business family and embraced our core values – and that’s been at the heart of our success for 150 years.
