U.S. National Safety Council Recognizes Gilbane’s 10M Safe Hours in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

width=PROVIDENCE, RI – Gilbane Federal has been recognized by the National Safety Council, USA, for topping an enormous safety milestone, 10 million safe work hours without any recordable or lost time injuries on projects for the Royal Saudi Air Force on several air bases located throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Gilbane and its local partner Yuksel earned the award while managing numerous infrastructure projects at Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) facilities in conjunction with the United States Air Force (USAF).

“Safety is a deeply held commitment at Gilbane,” said Heidi DeBenedetti, Executive Vice President and Gilbane Federal Leader. “We believe that nothing is more important than ensuring the safety of everyone on our projects. Since day one nearly seven years ago, when we started our first project in KSA, we have overcome many challenges together, the most recent being the ever-changing COVID safety requirements.”

Achieving the 10 million safe person-hours milestone is not an easy task anywhere in the world. Our RSAF and USAF clients have consistently expressed confidence in Gilbane’s approach to safety and expressed their appreciation for Gilbane’s industry-leading safety standards on every project.
