Peter Menke Named Massachusetts Market Leader for Gilbane’s Interiors/Special Projects
Dedicated group focuses on tenant improvement and renovation projects throughout the Commonwealth
As part of its strategic growth strategy in Massachusetts, Gilbane Building Company has announced that Peter Menke will head a team of more than 60 as market leader for the firm’s Interiors/Special Projects Group (SPG).
A 23-year industry veteran, Peter joined Gilbane in 2001 and has held numerous roles from project engineer to executive throughout his tenure. Since 2018, he has been a member of the leadership team within the Interiors/SPG in MA, overseeing complex interior fit-out and renovation projects for clients, including TD Garden, Northeastern University, PTC, Boston Red Sox, Babson College, and MIT. A graduate of Fitchburg State University, Peter maintains active industry associations with CoreNet, BOMA, and the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and is also a certified LEED AP. In his new role, Peter will lead Gilbane Interiors/SPG’s steady growth and portfolio of projects.

With extensive local market knowledge, the Interiors/SPG team specializes in managing complex renovation projects in occupied buildings and repositioning commercial spaces. Often with unique working conditions and tailor-built protocols, these projects require strict adherence and collaboration with building occupants, facilities management, and state and local regulatory agencies.
