Gilbane, Inc. Names Robert Dillard as Chief Financial Officer
Strategic CFO to Help Drive Growth Across Gilbane’s $10 Billion Enterprise
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — July 22, 2026 — Edward Broderick, the CEO of Gilbane, announced today that experienced financial leader Robert Dillard will join the organization as Chief Financial Officer. Dillard succeeds Robert Murray, who is retiring as Chief Financial Officer after serving Gilbane with steady financial leadership and deep commitment to the enterprise.
In his role at Gilbane, the parent company of Gilbane Building, Gilbane Development and their subsidiaries, Dillard will lead financial strategy and strategic investments for a $10 billion enterprise with integrated expertise across real estate investment, development, construction, and property and facilities management.
“Rob Dillard is a proven executive whose strategic discipline, financial expertise and operational focus will support Gilbane’s next phase of growth,” Broderick said. “As a trusted leader in end-to-end solutions for the built environment, Gilbane is helping clients navigate complexity, make confident decisions and create long-term value. Rob’s experience in strategy, capital allocation and enterprise transformation will help us invest with discipline, enhance results, and deliver greater value for our clients, partners and people. We are grateful to Robert Murray for his leadership, service and many contributions to Gilbane.”
Dillard brings more than two decades of financial, strategic and executive leadership experience across global industrial businesses and capital markets. He has led enterprise finance teams, advised CEOs and boards, strengthened capital allocation, executed complex M&A and helped organizations improve profitability, focus their portfolios and create long-term value. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of a leading public homebuilder.
“I’m excited to be joining Gilbane at such an important time in the company’s growth,” said Dillard. “Gilbane is a trusted leader in the built environment, with the scale, expertise and long-term vision to help clients move from idea to execution with confidence. As the company continues to advance its integrated platform and lead across real estate, development, construction, and property and facilities management, I look forward to working with Ed and the entire team to build on that momentum, serve clients and create lasting value.”
Throughout his career, Dillard has built a strong record of driving growth, improving profitability, strengthening capital allocation and advancing the core drivers of enterprise value. He has a degree in economics and an MBA from the University of North Carolina and will be based out of Gilbane’s Providence headquarters.
