Public-Private Partnership Project to Support New York’s Clean Energy Transformation; Contractor Information Session to be Held July 7th in Albany

 width=Bethlehem, NY – June 23, 2022 – Gilbane Building Company has been selected by the Albany Port District Commission (APDC) to serve as the construction manager for a world-class wind tower manufacturing facility at the Port of Albany in Bethlehem, New York. The wind tower manufacturing hub will be the first of its kind in the United Sates and will support New York State’s transformation to a clean energy economy.

The entire project consists of approximately 85 acres at the Port of Albany-Rensselaer with the total development including the construction of approximately 605,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities. The project is a public-private partnership with funding from private sources in addition to state and federal infrastructure and economic development funding.

Contractor Information Session – July 7th in Albany

A contractor information session will be held on Thursday, July 7th from 5pm to 7pm at the Albany Capital Center. The session is open to all contractors and professional services firms with an emphasis on connecting to companies that hold or can qualify for a New York State minority- and women-owned business enterprise (M/WBE) or service-disabled owned business (SDVOB) certification.
