Gilbane Building Celebrates Official Beam Signing at Mastery Schools Mann Elementary Project

Ceremony featured hundreds of excited students, faculty members and parents leaving their permanent mark on the project

Philadelphia, PA – September 2025 – On September 8, 2025, Gilbane Building celebrated the topping out of its Mastery Schools Mann Elementary entrance renovation project with a beam-signing event to commemorate construction progress and engage the surrounding community. Featuring construction partners, school administrators, and Mastery Schools Mann Elementary students, the event featured hundreds of excited students gathering to sign a ceremonial structural beam, leaving their permanent mark on the beautification of the school.

Included in the scope of this project is a one-story addition that includes a new lobby entrance vestibule, reception area, and conference room. Gilbane is also constructing a three-story elevator shaft connecting into the existing building. Two new ADA-compliant chair lifts will also be constructed, and new steel metal paneling will provide a modern, refreshed look to the school’s exterior.

The Mann Entrance renovation project, which is nearing completion, is part of a multiyear capital improvement project Mastery Schools is leading throughout its 23-campus network.
