Gilbane and New York Mets Celebrate Topping Out of New Player Development Complex at Clover Park
Construction milestone advances the New York Mets’ new 55,000-square-foot Player Development Complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida
Port St. Lucie, FL – July 8, 2026 – Gilbane Building, a global leader in construction, recently joined the New York Mets, project partners and community leaders to celebrate the topping out of the new 55,000-square-foot Player Development Complex at Clover Park. The milestone brings the organization one step closer to opening a state-of-the-art training, recovery and performance facility for Spring Training 2027.
The topping out ceremony commemorated the placement of the project’s final structural steel beam, marking the completion of the building’s structural framework and the successful transition into the next phase of construction.

The performance-focused facility will bring training, recovery, nutrition, and team operations together in one integrated environment designed to support every stage of athlete development.
The facility will feature a 7,000-square-foot weight room with a cardio mezzanine, a 5,000-square-foot clubhouse with 180 lockers, hydrotherapy and sports medicine areas, dining and multipurpose spaces, covered batting cages and a synthetic turf agility field.
Construction of the Player Development Complex remains on schedule for the planned Spring Training 2027 opening.
